Social
Responsibility and Community Activities Unitarians care
about equality of opportunity, diversity, the environment and our
wider community - at home and abroad. Individual members support
various charities and as a church we frequently raise money through
retiring collections and fund-raising events. We meet
through coffee mornings, a summer fair and teas before or after
services, arrange an annual ramble and sometimes go out for a
meal or to the theatre. The Women's League meets at 2.15 on the second
Tuesday of the month (Oct-May) at the Connor Suite, Westbourne Hall,
Westbourne Rd, West Kirby, offering a varied and interesting programme.
At our national centre, set in peaceful countryside, there is a rich
menu of events for people of all ages. Nightingale Centre
This has included, for many years now, ‘Classic Charity’ concerts
raising funds for local charities.
