                   Social Responsibility and Community Activities

Unitarians care about equality of opportunity, diversity, the environment and our wider  community - at home and abroad. Individual members support various charities and as a church we frequently raise money through retiring collections and fund-raising events.

This has included, for many years now, ‘Classic Charity’ concerts raising funds for local charities.

We meet through coffee mornings, a summer fair and teas before or after services, arrange an annual ramble and sometimes  go out for a meal or to the theatre. The Women's League meets at 2.15 on the second Tuesday of the month (Oct-May) at the Connor Suite, Westbourne Hall, Westbourne Rd, West Kirby, offering a varied and interesting programme. At our national centre, set in peaceful countryside, there is a rich menu of events for people of all ages. Nightingale Centre

Each year we usually visit another Unitarian Church for worship and then visit a local place of interest. This year we plan to visit Manchester Cross Steet Chapel and then in the afternoon Quarry Bank Mill, the historic enterprise established by the socially responsible Unitarian Greg family.
